It’s easy to relax poolside.  It’s also easy to join an aquatics class.

The pool area includes a hot tub and also features several water fitness classes every week. Classes are lead by professional instructors.

Along with the aquatic classes, there are so many choices residents can pick from for becoming, or staying fit.

Classes are held Monday – Friday with at least two different types of fitness classes each day – all led by professional instructors. Or, workout on your own in the state of the art fitness room and pool.

No need to deal with the hassle of buying expensive movie tickets and snacks. Residents enjoy movies every week at The Neighborhood.

Long time favorites, Oscar winners and Classic films are among the movies shown in the Powell Room.

And every seat is a good one! Movies are shown on a high-quality large screen. No need to bring popcorn, it’s freshly popped before each show! Now that’s retirement.

Forging Friendships @ The Neighborhood

The bonds between friends can last a lifetime. Finding new friends and spending time with them at The Neighborhood is one of the most appealing options residents discover in abundance.

It’s a community where residents share meals and everybody is welcoming. Residents also take strolls together around the beautiful campus that can include a stop at The Neighborhood’s dog park and garden area. They also look forward to each new monthly calendar to see if that day trip to a favorite museum has been scheduled.

Residents also share the popular lifelong learning programs held on-site, including Osher and Oasis classes. There’s also a large variety of day trips and entertainment choices, such as performances by the New Mexico Philharmonic, Albuquerque’s professional symphony orchestra which brings classical and contemporary music to audiences. Groups also go to the hottest shows at Popejoy Hall, delighting in the hors d’oeuvres and various beverages before each show. The Neighborhood’s transportation is a popular choice for all of these activities.

Looking for a quick bite, an omelet made to order, or fish and chips?  Or you have been craving a delicious green chile, cheeseburger and fries. Then check out the bistro. It’s open Monday through Friday to residents and visitors.

You can find the Bistro on the second floor just above the lobby. Outdoor seating is also available with a stunning view of the Sandia Mountains. You can also choose from a variety of beverages.
