COVID-19 Testing Results Independent Living:

  • Testing was done by Presbyterian Healthcare Services for NIRR Independent Living residents on April 8th. Results received current as of this memo:

COVID-19 Testing Results Supportive Care:

  • Testing was done by Presbyterian Healthcare Services for ALL Supportive Care residents (Health Care, Assisted Living, Memory Care) on April 8  Results received current as of this memo:

One Assisted Living Resident tested positive who was already in isolation, non-ambulatory and safety precautions implemented after return from hospital. Resident and family contacted. Personnel assigned to positive resident not in contact with other residents.

COVID-19 Cases Update

Since March 7th, visitation restricted to all levels of care and all employees upon entering NIRR sanitize their hands, get their temperature taken and answer the questionnaire regarding COVID exposure and/or symptoms.  Any employee exhibiting 99.6 + triaged by nurse to determine course of action.       

  • All staff continue to wear proper personal protective equipment.
  • Social distancing observed for all staff and residents.

COVID-19 Testing Results NIRR Staff, Agency and Contractors:

240 NIRR staff, Agency and contractors have been tested.  To date, three known positive (this includes the two from the prior memo). Positive employees or employees with symptoms prior to testing are self-isolating at home until they are cleared to return to work by Department of Health.

EASTER SUNDAY BAGPIPER:

  • David Reynolds will have a bagpipe performance on the East Patio on Easter Sunday (April 12) at 11:30 a.m. You may watch from your balcony.  If you don’t have a balcony facing that direction, you may view from patios or courtyard but no more than five in a group.

RESIDENT HEALTH SERVICE TRANSITION:

Jennifer Fox and Stephanie Cousins will be returning to La Vida Llena and have transitioned their resident care caseload to Deb Meadows, a Certified Nursing Assistant under Life Enrichment. Jennifer and Stephanie will be at NIRR intermittently for another month during the transition.  Deb Meadows has been working for Haverland Carter for 25 years since 1995.  Please read her bio in the Newsreel. Deb can assist Independent Residents with:

  • First aide
  • Vitals
  • Housekeeping
  • Showers
  • Peri-care (assistance with toileting)
  • Nail care if not diabetic
  • Errands (once we up and running again)
  • Pet care

Life Enrichment Aide prices can be found in Appendix A:

  • Service under one hour          $25
  • Service with two hour minimum          $22 per hour
